so I can escape into my art and never look back.
I like to think people don’t care sometimes because my art understands me better…
and its less complicated to explain myself to my art, it already knows and never judges me.
I like to just find myself inside my poems, my paintings…because at least there I am fully accepted.
First, I apologize in the late reply.
Next, I personally wasn’t stating anything about Kyo san being God. I highly respect him. When a person experiences such traumas in their life, and he is obviously an artist, then they will either express them or they will hide them. Seeing as how he is expressing them in the public eye, he is also healing and by way of healing he also wants to be around those who understand because those who don’t will assume things that are not true, judge him, his actions and his words, take into question his feelings or lack there of on certain issues and how he has reacted to the public because of his past. Surely yes now he is maturing in his life and emotional state and is writing more on global issues which also seem to be very close to his heart. He is a passionate person, what you describe of him is almost human like in comparison to the last post you directed towards the Kareki person.
I don’t want to argue with you or any other fan about such a subject but it made me wonder why so many people will take something that an artist does as pure self expression and try to question its sincerity. I too am an artist, been through more things than I even want to describe to billions of people but I do this through my poetry. I don’t post on here because of people like yourself who tend to take into question everything….which it seems to me that you have more of a problem with possibly the persons who adore these artists rather than the artists themselves. If that is the case….then move on.
People are all different, love for different reasons, raise others on pedestals for some reasons unknown to the public and that is their forte, it shouldn’t bother you so much.
Like I tell everyone when I make a statement about my opinion, it is MY OPINION and you can like it or dislike it. I don’t have to explain my opinion to anyone, however fun it is to do so, I am not OBLIGATED to explain and nor is anyone else, obligated to explain why they feel the way they do towards someone.
If someone thinks he is a GOD, let them. It is their personal feelings, some can explain and others can not. To argue over it is useless and a waste of time.
Kyo is a deeply hurt human, but he is also healing and moving on in his life. I won’t discount his emotions he displays on stage because that is part of his self expression….I won’t question it either because I understand and to question someone that is boldly displaying his soul for all to see is simply disrespectful. He wants to hide because he doesn’t want to deal with THIS sort of shit. I understand. Who wants to explain when for the most part, people will only say “I understand” and yet they have no idea what the hell is going on. It is a waste of time and really irritating too.
So, I addressed what I saw in the post and also raised a few points that I felt needed to be raised although you say they weren’t in the post, the language was there and it was very much implied that some of those things needed to be spoken up about.
To summarize, Kyo is a God to some….not to all. He is human. He is a deeply hurt individual, nothing needs to be intellectualized because it just boils down to you not understanding people’s viewpoints and the fact that honestly, although the questions were raised by you, they don’t really need to be explained. No one is say Kyo is a Martyr, no one is saying he is a God, but if they are acting like this…you have no other choice but to deal with it. If they don’t want to explain themselves, why push? If it bothers you, learn more about human nature and then you won’t have to ask these questions to people who don’t have to answer.
It can be frustrating sometimes, but there is no reason to waste your time on things that you shouldn’t be expecting. They have no obligation to explain their view points to you. To assume you have that right to get an explanation is a little far fetched.
Thanks for your contribution (no irony). I’ve realised, maybe too late, after this whole “discussion thing” was blown out of proportion, that what we do with Kareki is talk to each other about things we both deeply believe in and we both are not planning to let go. And to me it turned out to be just discussing for the sake of discussing, without any possibility to reach middle ground. And of course, the discussion doesn’t need to end up with compromise, so I’ve tried to understood her point of view by still keeping mine. And as you say eveyrone is entitled to their opinion and it’s not my place or my right to change it, influence it or offend it.
After getting lost in this passionate argument I came to this blessed conclusion and our ways parted.
Thanks for your voice of reason, it is appreciated.
Before I read this, which I appreciate that the two of you agreed to disagree and move on, I found this from Kyo’s questions:
11. What do you think about when you’re writing lyrics? Is there any influence from events around the world and the like?
- I directly reflect the song’s world view and my own emotional state at that moment. Kyo
;) hard to imagine we all passionately stated so many things and yet this is the be all end all of the discussion…a simple thing to look upon yet extremely profound.
